SEO fixes, written for you and applied in one click
· 4 min read · MAALI team
The free SEO check tells you what's holding your pages back. SEO fixes go one step further: MAALI writes the exact new text, and with a connected website, puts it there for you once you approve it.
What MAALI writes
Click Write the fixes under the SEO check, on the SEO page. MAALI reads the pages the check flagged, then carries on through your sitemap, and for each page that needs it writes:
- A new title: up to 60 characters, leading with what the page is about, different from every other page's title.
- A new meta description: 120 to 160 characters saying what the page offers and giving one honest reason to click.
Each one is written from that page's own text and your MAALI Brain's brand voice. MAALI doesn't invent discounts, ratings, guarantees or statistics, and leaves out prices, because they change and search results keep the old text for weeks.
When AI assistants need them, you also get, free:
- robots.txt that lets ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google's AI read your pages. Everything else in your file works exactly as before; MAALI checks that before suggesting it.
- Structured data (Organization JSON-LD) with your business name, website and social profiles, taken only from your site.
- llms.txt, a short list of your main pages for AI tools. It's optional.
A batch covers up to 15 pages and uses 1 credit, charged only when MAALI writes new titles or descriptions. Find more fixes carries on through the rest of your site. Pages you've dismissed aren't suggested again.
Review every fix
Each fix shows what the page says now, the new text and its length. You can:
- Edit it first. Your version is what gets applied or copied.
- Copy it, with step-by-step help for your website builder under Where.
- Mark as done once you've pasted it in yourself, or Dismiss it.
Members can write and edit fixes. Only workspace owners can apply them to the website.
Apply in one click
With WordPress, Ghost or Webflow connected under Connections, a workspace owner can turn on SEO fixes for that connection. Then each title and description fix gets an Apply button, and Apply all applies a whole batch.
Before anything changes, MAALI shows exactly what will happen: the page, the text now and the new text. It then applies each fix, checks the live page, and tells you which are live. Every applied fix has Undo, which puts back exactly what was there before.
MAALI only changes a page's SEO title and meta description. It never changes your content, images, design or settings, and never applies anything nobody approved.
WordPress
WordPress doesn't let apps change SEO titles and descriptions on its own, so MAALI uses a small free plugin.
- Connect WordPress first, with an Application Password (see One-click publishing).
- Download the MAALI Connector plugin.
- In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the file and click Activate.
- In MAALI, open Connections, find WordPress, click Turn on next to SEO fixes, then Check and turn on.
The plugin writes to the SEO plugin you already use: Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO or SEOPress, into the same fields you'd edit by hand. Without an SEO plugin, it adds the title and meta description to your pages itself. Settings → MAALI in WordPress lists every change, with what each field said before.
Changing the homepage needs a WordPress user who can manage settings (an Administrator) when your homepage shows your latest posts. If a caching plugin is on, the new text can take a few minutes to show; MAALI tells you when a page still shows the old version.
Ghost
Nothing to install. Turn on SEO fixes for your Ghost connection and MAALI changes each post's or page's meta title and meta description through the Admin API key you already connected. Ghost keeps the homepage's title and description in Settings → General, so that one stays copy-and-paste.
Webflow
- In Webflow, open Site settings → Apps & integrations → API access and generate a token with Sites: read, Pages: read and write and CMS: read and write.
- In MAALI, click Update key on your Webflow connection and paste the new token.
- Click Turn on next to SEO fixes.
MAALI changes the SEO title and description in each page's settings. Webflow shows them after you next publish your site, so nothing goes live by surprise. CMS item pages (like individual blog posts) take their SEO text from collection fields, so those fixes stay copy-and-paste.
Shopify, Wix, Squarespace and others
These platforms don't offer a key for changing page settings, so fixes are copied in. Choose your builder under Show where to paste on and each fix shows exactly where it goes.
After you apply
Google picks up a new title or description the next time it reads the page, usually within days, and sometimes keeps showing its own version if it thinks another bit of the page fits a search better. Run the free SEO check again to see your score move, and connect Google Search Console under Connections to watch clicks over the following weeks.
Turning it off
Click Turn off next to SEO fixes under Connections. Fixes already applied stay on your site; turn SEO fixes back on any time to undo them from MAALI. For WordPress, you can also deactivate the MAALI Connector plugin, and delete MAALI's Application Password under Users → Profile.
