Finding stores to research
· 1 min read
Let MAALI find stores
On a campaign, click Find stores. MAALI uses your ideal customer (or a few keywords you add, like "linen dresses" or "Texas boutiques") to search the web for matching Shopify stores. It then checks each candidate for free, keeps only live Shopify stores that aren't already in your campaigns or on a do-not-contact list, and adds them to the campaign.
Each search uses 3 credits and adds up to around 25 verified stores. Describe your niche well (the Focus box helps) so each search counts. Researching each store then uses credits as usual, and stores skipped by your free filters cost nothing.
Tips:
- Be specific: niche plus product type plus place works best ("sustainable kids clothing UK").
- Run a few searches with different keywords rather than one broad one.
Paste domains
If you already have stores in mind, paste their domains on the campaign page, one per line. Both custom domains (examplestore.com) and .myshopify.com addresses work.
Upload a CSV
Exported a list from a spreadsheet, directory or lead tool? Click Load from CSV. MAALI finds the column that contains domains automatically, even if it's called "Website" or "URL".
What MAALI does with each store
It reads only public pages: the storefront, the public product catalog, and the contact page. It respects robots.txt and store owners' opt-outs, and it only uses the business contact address the store publishes. See MaaliBot for details.
